Primarily
self taught, abstract expressionist Tom Joyce has been painting
for 25 years.
He has had solo exhibits and been in group shows in art venues on
the west coast of Florida and was awarded a grant from the Pollock-
Krasner Foundation in New York.
Before
devoting full time to painting, Tom worked at a variety of occupations
in nine states and in Mexico where he taught English for the United
States Information Agency. In the 1970’s, in Rochester, NY,
he converted three derelict inner-city buildings into restaurants
and a cabaret. For 10 years he captained a 42’ charter sail
boat and taught sailing on Lake Ontario.
